Introduction: This is a specialised policy that covers diabetes and related ailments specially and also takes care of regular hospitalisation Eligibility: Minimum age: 18years and Maximum-65years, person already under the effect Diabetes Mellitus can take this insurance. There is no exit age and lifelong renewal beyond 65 years is also guaranteed. Policy is available on Individual and as well as Floater basis. (Family of 2: Self and Spouse) both have to be diabetic.

Plan A: Pre-acceptance medical screening is required No waiting period for hospitalisation against diabetes. Plan B: No Pre-acceptance medical screening is required Waiting period of 30 days for all other hospitalisation except diabetes. Waiting period of 15 months for Cardio Vascular/Renal eye/related to eye and foot ulcer diseases. 24 months for transplant and related surgeries. No change of plans after receipt of policy. 100% cost of Pre-acceptance medical screening is borne by company. Sum Insured: 300000, 400000, 500000, 1000000 Sub limits: For Cataract: (Sum Insured: 300000-500000 INR), a payment of 20000 INR per eye per person up to a limit of 30000 INR. (Sum Insured: 1000000 INR), a payment of 30000 INR per eye per person up to a limit of 40000 INR. No Sub limits for Cardio Vascular Diseases. Plan B: Premium Details: Individual: Floater: Tax Benefit: Payment of premium by any mode other than cash is subject to rebate under section 80D. Exclusions: Pre Existing diseases as mentioned. Disease that creeps into the insured during the first 30 days of the policy period. Also expenses of defined and related diseases as mentioned would not be borne during the first two years of continuous operation of insurance. Dental treatment or surgery (excluding accidental damages). Injury due to nuclear weapons and war or breach of law on an intentional basis. Expenses on Vitamins and tonics not part of the treatment schedule. Hospital registration and admission charges, record and telephone charges. Cancellation Policy: Misrepresentation, fraud, moral hazard or non-cooperation on behalf of the insured might lead to cancellation of policy making way for appropriate refund. *The above rates may change. Free Look Period: A period of 15 days after date of receipt of policy to review terms and conditions during which insured can cancel it with due refunds. Diabetes Safe Insurance Policy Benefits
Covering any complications of Diabetes from day one and hospitalisation cover for all ailments including accidents. Also provide regular hospitalization cover for all other ailments/injuries. Pre Hospitalization expenses up to 30 days prior to the date of hospitalization. Post Hospitalization expenses up to 60 days after discharge from the hospital not exceeding 7% of the hospitalization expenses or Rs 5000/- per hospitalization whichever is less. Surgeons/Consultants, medical equipment and procedural fees are also covered. Room rent- Section 1: Standard Single AC room Section 2: 1.5% of sum insured up to a maximum of 8500 INR. Donor expenses are covered under kidney transplant. Dialysis expenses of 1000 INR per sitting are covered up to 24 months. Additional Features: Automatic restoration of sum.
