An insurance policy aimed at the senior citizens above the age of sixty. Star Health Red Carpet InsuranceEligibility: Between 60 and 75 years of age at the time of entry. The sum insured under this insurance is per individual member covered. Star Health Red Carpet Policy Details: Guaranteed renewal after the age of 75 years. No pre insurance medical test required. Treatment at hospitals within the network. Pre-existing diseases are covered are covered right from the first year. Diseases whose treatment started within the first 12 months would be covered in the second year.

Expenses on Vitamins and tonics not part of the treatment schedule. Hospital registration and admission charges, record and telephone charges.
Hospitalisation covers expenses up to 1% of sum insured till a maximum of 4000 INR if hospitalised for a minimum of 24 hrs. (Room rent, nursing and boarding charges, Surgeon, Anaesthetist, Medical Practitioner, Consultants, Specialist Fees, Cost of Medicines and Drugs up to the limits specified). ICU expenses up to 2% of sum. Surgeon, consultant, specialist fees up to a max of 25%. Blood, oxygen, pacemaker and diagnostic tests are covered up to a max of 50% of sum insured per hospitalisation. Ambulance charges for emergency transportation to hospital up to a sum of 600 INR per hospitalisation a max of 1200 INR per policy period. Post-hospitalisation paid as lump-sum up to 7% of expense subject to max of 5000 INR. Specific day-care procedures covered. Sub-limits applicable for specified illness.
